Charts

Each month, That’s My Jam will rank the top songs in dance, pop and R&B, and then we’ll post each respective genre’s chart on Tuesday. Here’s the schedule:

Dance Chart (First Tuesday of the Month)
Pop Chart (Second Tuesday of the Month)
R&B Chart (Third Tuesday of the Month)
That’s My Jam Top 10 (A mix of all three genres — fourth Tuesday of the Month)

Additionally, we’ll link song titles to their videos or audio.

Here’s how to read the charts:
Chart position this month. Artist – “Song Title” (Chart position last month)

Examples:
1. Michael Jackson – “Thriller” (2)
2. Haddaway – “What Is Love?” (1)
3. Madonna – “Vogue” (4)
4. Janet Jackson – “Miss You Much” (7)
5. C+C Music Factory – “Things That Make You Go Hmmm … ” (3)

Dance, Pop and R&B Charts
Based on a) a predetermined set of listings that rank songs by airplay, streams, sales, requests and/or audience reaction, and b) notable songs That’s My Jam’s staff identifies as buzzworthy. Information for each chart will generally be accessed the weekend prior to a chart being posted.

That’s My Jam Top 10
This chart ranks songs from the Dance, Pop and R&B chats against one another.

End of Year Charts
During the final week of December, That’s My Jam will post its comprehensive charts ranking the top 40 songs from the Dance, Pop and R&B charts, respectively. On New Year’s Day, the Top 100 Songs of (insert previous year here) will be revealed. The listings will be based on songs’ individual performances on those charts which they appear, as well as the That’s My Jam Top 10, from January to December of a given year. Charts from previous years are below.

2012: Dance // Pop // R&B // Top 100
2011:
Dance // Pop // R&B // Top 100
2010: Dance // Pop // R&B // Top 100
2009: Dance // Pop // R&B // Top 75
