Near Misses (Part 2) [Best of 2010]

Posted by ThatsMyJamRadio on December 24, 2010

From our perspective, 2010 was a good year for music. While we’d like to think that was reflected on That’s My Jam’s Dance, Pop, R&B and Top 10 charts, but a few songs slipped through the cracks and managed to evade all of them! Here, we recognize 7 of 21 near misses that should have charted.

Lee Ryan
“Secret Love”
Pulsating Europop for the 2010s.

R. Kelly
“Be My #2”
A song full of sin and salaciousness, yet highly addictive.

Medina
“You and I”
A smooth dance cut that’s also radio-friendly and purely hypnotizing.

JLS
“The Club is Alive”
The only song that can sample something from a musical and still sound cool.

John Legend & The Roots feat. Melanie Fiona
“Wake Up Everybody”
A contemporary tribute to the soul sanguhs of the past.

Armin van Buuren feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor
“Not Giving Up On Love”

Two powerhouses of dance music, finally united on one record.

Janet Jackson
“Nothing”
An understated vocal from one of pop and R&B’s queens.
